Endeavouring to reduce violence against women is a worthy pursuit but so is endeavouring to reduce violence against men. There is no need to be exclusive in attempting to reduce violence. If violence breeds violence then the optimum way to reduce violence is to work against all violence.

Men are approximately twice as likely to be a victim of violence than women. This is true across all ages groups and cultures. Some may suggest that the majority of violence on men is perpetrated by other men. This is true but it is a specious response. A discussion on the victims of violence should focus on the victims, how to help them and how to hopefully prevent repetition.

Men are just as deserving of protection from violence as women are. This is legally and morally true although it is the case that many police forces around the world do not take violence against men perpetrated by women as seriously as other forms of violence.

We should all work together to reduce violence against all humans.

Endorsement of Violence Against Men

It is often the case that prominent feminists and others endorse violence against men. When doing some some seek plausible deniability by using vague terminology while others are more direct.

Andrea Dworkin

"I want to see a man beaten to a bloody pulp with a high-heel shoved in his mouth, like an apple in the mouth of a pig." [1]

"Marriage as an institution developed from rape as a practice." [2]

Charlotte Proudman

Below Charlotte Proudman praises the Gulabi Gang who beat men who are alleged to have committed domestic violence.

Krista Leighanne Milburn

On Castration

Milburn advocated for the introduction of International Castration Day, posting on Reddit:

Males of all ages will be brought to the public squares of their cities nude, to stand together in a circle, as they await castration by a woman known as "The Castrator", who will be a woman chosen from the public much like a juror.

Girls of all ages will attend, lining the streets to cheer and applaud the males as they join the rest of civilized society.

It will be a free vacation for any working woman. And, young girls will be able to leave school to attend this glorious ceremony.

The males will then have one hour to get to know their Castrator. Their female "spouse" will also be able to choose whether or not they would like to milk the male in order to retain a sperm sample.

If the male is too young for a "spouse", their mother or closest female relative will decide.

After this, the men will be given anesthetics. They will be placed on a table, where their Castrator will then slice open their ball-sack, remove their testicles, and the excess skin, stitch them up and clean them up.

They will be given thirty minutes to rest after the procedure.

Once the males have all been castrated, they will be grouped together again for one last look before walking nude back to their homes.[3]

On Men and society

In the same post Milburn has expressed her views of men and society:

We would have a true Eutopia, where peace reigns, and men do only what they exist for...

Breed.

Labor.

SERVE.

Die.[4]

Milburn went to argue that men should be reduced to 10% of the human population in order to achieve equality.[5]

Mona Eltahawy

Mona Eltahawy has endorse violence against men on many occasions.

During an interview with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Eltahawy stated:

Knowing that this is very disturbing, I ask people to imagine — now I'm using this word imagine, and I'm underlining it three times — a scenario in which we kill a certain number of men every week. How many men must we kill until patriarchy sits across the table from us and says, "OK, stop. What must we do, so that you can stop this culling?" Now I'm saying imagine. I'm not saying go out there and kill 100 men today. I'm saying, just imagine this very, very disturbing scenario. [6] [7]

Sally Miller Gearhart

"The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at approximately 10% of the human race." The Future – If There Is One – Is Female [8]

Sharon Stone

"The more famous and powerful I get the more power I have to hurt men." [9] [10]
