Charlotte Proudman

Charlotte Proudman, born Carlotte Bailye, is a British barrister. Proudman came to prominence in 2015 when she publicly castigated fellow British barrister Alexander Carter-Silk for a comment he made about her picture on Linkedin. Both Proudman and Alexander Carter-Silk are graduates of Keele University.

After connecting on Linked in Alexander Carter-Silk primately messaged Proudman and reportedly stated:

"I appreciate that this is probably horrendously politically incorrect but that is a stunning picture!!! You definitely win the prize for the best LinkedIn picture I have ever seen."

Proudman responded:

"Alex, I find your message offensive. I am on Linked-in [sic] for business purposes, not to be approached about my physical appearance or to be objectified by sexist men." ref>https://archive.ph/D4yDu</ref>

Proudman then publicly posted the conversation which then went viral.
