Amy Lea Judge
Amy Lea Judge is an Australian woman. In April 2022 Judge threw her pet Maltese shih-tzu Princess off the roof of a parking garage in Australia during an argument with her partner. Princess fell approximately nine metres but survived the fall. Princess was subsequently found by a member of the public who initially assumed she had been hit by a car. Princess was subsequently euthanised.[1][2]

Judge admitted the offence on Facebook. Her Facebook posts were subsequently used in evidence against her.
Harming a pet during an argument with a partner constitutes intimate partner violence although neither the courts nor the media have discussed this in this case.
Judge was convicted and imprisoned for 12 months.[3]
