Amy Lea Judge

Amy Lea Judge is an Australian woman. In April 2022 Judge threw her pet Maltese shih-tzu Princess off the roof of a parking garage in Australia during an argument with her partner. Princess fell approximately nine metres but survived the fall. Princess was subsequently found by a member of the public who initially assumed she had been hit by a car. Princess was subsequently euthanised as a result of her injuries.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]

CCTV footage recorded Judge throwing Princess off the roof.^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]

Judge admitted the offence on Facebook. Her Facebook posts were subsequently used as evidence against her.^[9]^[10]^[11]^[12]

Harming a pet during an argument with a partner constitutes intimate partner violence although neither the courts nor the media have discussed this in this case.

Judge was convicted and imprisoned for 12 months.^[13]^[14]
