Nicola Stickells

Nicola Stickells is an activist for radical environmentalist group Extinction Rebellion. On 7 April 2021 Stickells participated in a protest at the London headquarters of multinational bank Barclays. Stickells was protesting alongside six other women, Carol Wood, Gabriella Ditton, Lucy Porter, Sophie Cowen, Rosemary Webster and Zoe Cohen. Stickells and the other women deliberately smashed glass windows at Barclays causing £100,000 in damage.[1]
On 5 December 2022 Stickells was convicted of criminal damage by jury. Stickells is awaiting sentencing and faces up to 18 months imprisonment.[2]
All of the women, except for Cowen, have previous convictions for similar offences.[3]
