Rosemary Webster

Rosemary Webster is an activist for radical environmentalist group Extinction Rebellion. On 7 April 2021 Webster participated in a protest at the London headquarters of multinational bank Barclays. Webster was protesting alongside six other women, Carol Wood, Gabriella Ditton, Lucy Porter, Sophie Cowen, Nicola Stickells and Zoe Cohen. Webster and the other women deliberately smashed glass windows at Barclays causing £100,000 in damage.[1]
On 5 December 2022 Webster was convicted of criminal damage by jury. Webster is awaiting sentencing and faces up to 18 months imprisonment.[2]
All of the women, except for Cowen, have previous convictions for similar offences.[3]
