A few years ago a vegan woman, Cilla Carden, sued her neighbour over the smell of barbecuing meat wafting in to her house.
Thousands signed up for a revenge BBQ near her house but it was cancelled when her lawyers threatened to sue trespassers.[1]
Cilla Carden lost the original suit against her neighbours. She took it all the way to the state's Supreme Court.[2]
Cilla Carden also complained about other smells, her neighbour's children playing basketball in their backyard, and even the presence of pet birds.[3]
