We Hunted the Mammoth
We Hunted The Mammoth (WHTM) was an anti-manosphere blog that used the tag Misogyny, tracked and mocked. All posts were apparently made by David Futrelle.
The blog often contained articles ridiculing MRAs, MGTOW, PUAs, incels and other groups in the manosphere. Futrelle appeared to scour various manosphere sites picking low hanging fruit and representing them as typical of the movements he was talking about.
We Hunted The Mammoth previously operated under the name Man Boobz.[1][2]
In February 2022 Futrelle posted to WHTM indicating that the blog was experiencing financial difficulties and encouraging donations to his running pledge drive.[3][4]
WHTM went on indefinite hiatus on 15 August 2023. Futrelle stated that the blog would remain open to allow people to comment and that he might still post from time to time.[5][6]
Despite this WTHM had been replaced by a maintenance page by 12 November 2023. As of 13 April 2024 this is still the case.[7]
As a result of the split in feminism TERFs became increasingly hostile to WTHM and managed to blame men.[8][9]
Cassie Jaye
In February 2022 Futrelle likened Cassie Jaye to Nazi propagandist Leni Riefenstahl on the blog.[10][11]
