He influenced Shakespeare and was the more famous while he was alive. Had he lived longer it might be Marlowe and not Shakespeare that is remembered today.

Marlowe may have collaborated with Shakespeare on the Henry VI plays.

Apparently Shakespeare only started working in London n 1592, the year before Marlowe died.

Shakespeare mentioned Marlow's death in “As You Like It.”
