Rebecca Thomas

Rebecca Thomas is a British nurse who deliberately hit her ex-boyfriend, David Robinson, with her car. Thomas hit David Robinson from hehind. He remained on the ground for around four and a half minutes before passers by came to his assistance. Thomas apparently did not assist him during this time.

Thomas pleaded guilty to battery, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and dangerous driving. Thomas was sentenced to a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years and a 30-hour rehabilitation activity requirement. Thomas was 37 at the time of the offence while the victim, David Robinson, was 45.

Both were intoxicated at the time and the presiding judge,Geraint Walters, tried to excuse her actions by saying:

"You were both heavily under the influence. This incident would not have happened if it was not for that."
