Large numbers of men in Israel are unable to leave the country because they are subject to a no exit order. Although some nations such as Australia and the United States will refuse to allow a man to leave if he is in arrears on child support payments, Israel may refuse to allow a man to leave unless he has made future payments to the extent determined by a court. This has left many Israeli men and a small number of foreigners stuck in Israel.
