Andrius Vengalis is a British man who was falsely accused of the murdering his wife Egle Vengaliene. Mr Vengalis woke to find his wife missing. He went searching for her and found her face down in a river about 3m from the bank. He attempted unsuccessfully to resusitate his wife.
A few hours later Mr Vengalis was arrested and charged with her murder.
After being released Mr Vengalis reported that he had not seen his five children since he was arrested and that they were now living in Lithuania with his wife's family.
