Nicola Stickells is an activist for radical environmentalist group Extinction Rebellion. On 7 April 2021 Wood participated in a protest at the London headquarters of multinational bank Barclays. Porter was protesting alongside six other women, Carol Wood, Gabriella Ditton, Lucy Porter, Sophie Cowen, Rosemary Webster and Zoe Cohen.
