As of May 2023 Maureen Phipps is the CEO of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
ACOG was invited to a debate by the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG) on whether or not induced abortion should be considered to be good medical practice. In a letter Phipps declined stating that "the role of abortion in our patients’ lives is settled science."[1]
