Denial of misandry was common until about 2015. Up to this point feminists and others would deny that misandry even existed. This is the origin of phrases such as what about teh menz and misandry isn't a thing that were common at the time.

While it has become less common, as of March 2023 some feminists still deny that misandry even exists.
