Courtney Ireland-Ainsworth is a British woman who made a series of 10 false complaints against her former boyfriend Louis Jolly. To support these complaints Ireland-Ainsworth created a series of fake profiles on Instagram and used these fake profiles to make false threats against herself, attempting to implicate her Louis Jolly. Ireland-Ainsworth's aim was to get Louis Jolly arrested and sent to prison.[1][2][3][4]
Facebook, the owner of Instagram, was able to identify that the fake Instagram profiles were linked to email accounts and IP address used by Ireland-Ainsworth.[5][6]
