Margaret Hughes is a British woman who was convicted and jailed for child abuse committed between 1969 & 1981. Hughes was a carer at the Smyllum Park orphanage in Scotland. Among other offences Hughes reportedly forced a girl in to a freezing bath and held her head under the water.[1]
