A women's rights activist (WRA) is a traditional gynocentrist that advocates for women's rights. Women's rights activism is generally distinct from feminism although significant overlaps existed before the 2020s.
As of 2023 many anti-trans feminists are rebranding as WRAs. WRAs wholly reject the trans movement and in particular reject transwomen. The issue of transwomen in sports is particularly prominent.
Despite the similarity in name WRAs are not aligned with MRAs, the latter wholly rejecting gynocentrism.
