A transwoman is a person who was born male but later transitioned to live indefinitely as a woman. This may involved dressing as a woman, representating themselves socially as a woman, taking female hormones or having surgury to remove male genitals and fashion female genitals. As of 2023 successful womb transplants have been performed on transwomen.
Transwomen include transmaxxers.
