War crimes, including sexual violence are perpetrated against both men and women but international attention is largely focussed on crimes against women. This is a form of gynocentrism.
Rape
The International Criminal Court (ICC) disregards a woman's consent when she has sex with a male soldier during war time. This leads to virtually all sex between men and women in a war zone to be classified as sexual assault and a war crime.[1]
