Volunteering

While it is growing quickly, the Men's Rights Movement is still a small movement. It doesn't have the power and money of feminism. Almost everything anyone does to support the MRM is done on a volunteer basis. The intent of this article is to get more people to contribute to the MRM. Only together can we fix the problems and produce a fairer society for all - men and women.

You don't even need to identify as a men's rights activist - all you need to do is agree that men face some gender specific problems and want to help fix them.

Most people have to work for a living. The MRM can benefit from whatever time you can spare - large or small.

There are many ways to help out within the MRM and no one is expecting you to spend more time than you have available. By all means prioritise your paid work and (especially) time with your family - and this goes doubly for men (and women) who don't get to see their children as often as they'd like.

  • Volunteering online: AVfM, Reddit groups, Facebook groups
  • Writing articles
  • Forming & helping out with local men's rights groups
    • Organising face to face events
  • Write to your local politicians explaining the problems facing men
  • Submissions to government inquiries relevant to men's rights
  • Join local father's rights and prison reform and anti-circ groups.

Advocacy

Get on facebook, twitter and everywhere else. Don't be rude or aggressive. Demolish their arguments with logic.

It's a long slow process but we are winning. Various groups in Australia (including Men's Rights Australia and One in Three) recently teamed up and publically showed New South Wales Police how sexist their anti-DV campaingn was. Their next anti-DV campaign acknowledged male victims (with a predictable response from feminists).

Smile

Don't take the hate too personally. It's bad for your health. Look at the crazy things the feminists say [give a few examples] and consider how adled their view of reality must be to think like that. Have a good laugh at them. Laugh at the haters. When you do that they lose.
