University of Adelaide
The University of Adelaide (informally Adelaide University) is a public research university located in Adelaide, South Australia. Established in 1874, it is the third-oldest university in Australia. The university's main campus is located on North Terrace in the Adelaide city centre, adjacent to the Art Gallery of South Australia, the South Australian Museum, and the State Library of South Australia.
The Poster
In July 2018 SJWs accused the University of Adelaide of promoting or condoning mansplaining as a result of a poster advertising the university. The poster shows a man explaining something while several women are looking and listening. The university distanced itself from the poster making it clear that it is actually from Renewal SA.[1][2]
This was still drawing media attention in 2022 and received additional publicity in 2024..[3][4]
