Nicole Virzi is a 29 year old American women residing in Pittsburgh, PA. Virzi is accused of murdering an six-week old infant boy, Leon Katz and assulting his twin brother. Police allege that while in the care of Virzi, a family friend, Leon suffered multiple skull fractures that led to his death while his brother received scratches on his face, belly and genitals.[1]
Virzi has been charged with homicide, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children. Virzi is being held in custody.
In August 2024 it was announced that prosecutors would be seeking the death penalty if Virzi is convicted.[2][3]
