Meetings

It was pioneered by Men's Rights Sydney. We advertise the meetings on relevant Facebook pages. Key points: Monthly meetings. Held at a restaurant which is fairly central in a city. So far Sunday lunch seems to be a popular option. The meeting is a chance of MRAs to get to meet in person but it is also a social event. Some people raise specific MR (men's rights) topics they want to talk about but the conversation is casual and could be about sports or movies as much as MR. It is generally not recommended to bring kids as the topics can be of a mature nature however in at least a few cases MRAs have come along with their kids. The conversation needs to be child friendly if this happens. Everyone is welcome regardless of their feelings about MR as long as they are not disruptive and prepared to have a reasonable and open minded discussion. Various vocal anti-MRAs have been invited at various times. To my knowledge none have ever accepted the invitation. At least one meeting was infiltrated by an undercover reporter. If you are unfamiliar with an attendee who claims to be an MRA be careful with personal details until you can confirm that they genuinely support MR.
