On 26 June 2021 Skye Anne Wallis, then 33, was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle on the Bruce Highway in Burpengary, Queensland, Australia. Senior Constable David Masters was attempting to deploy road spikes to stop the stolen vehicle when it's alleged that Wallis drove the vehicle in to S/Con Masters, killing him.[1]

Wallis subsequently surrendered to police at Cabolture police station through the intersession of a solicitor.[2]

Wallis was charged with murder, arson and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.[3]

It is alleged that Kari O'Brien, then 24, was a passenger in the vehicle at the time. O'Brien has also been charged with murder.[4]
