Scott Austic is an Australian man who resides in Western Australia. In 2009 Mr Austic was convicted of the 2007 murder of his fiance, Stacey Thorne, and sentenced to 25 years imprisonment. In 2020 Mr Austic was granted a new trial and acquitted of the murder.[1][2]

In 2023 Mr Austic received an ex-gratia payment of $1.6M (Australian dollars) for his wrongful imprisonment.[3][4]
