Anyone believing this should take a look outside. See the world? Men built that. They built it through blood and sweat and passion. Passion for achieving something. To a large degree men built the world so that their families would be safe and could prosper.

Anyone believing that men are preoccupied with sex should actually observe men as they go about their daily lives. On work days you'll see them going to and from work, or actually performing work. In their off-time men can often be found performing maintenance around their homes. When they do engage in leisure activities few of them seem to be related to sex.

Look at websites and magazines frequented by men. They tend to be subject based. Cars, fishing, mechanics, science, or whatever it is that interests a particular man. Compare this to websites and magazines frequented by women which often mention love, romance and sex. If we were to use people's interests to draw conclusions about what they are thinking about we'd come up with a very different conclusion.

Prostitution is often mentioned as an example of men constantly thinking about sex. Only men pay for sex, the thinking goes. Research indicates that 14% men in the US will visit a prostitute in their lifetime and 1% have done so within the last 12 months. With low rates like this visiting prostitutes is hardly typical male behaviour. At the same time the prevalence with which women buy sex <a href=Male prostitution">is increasing.

If is possible to draw such a long bow it would be to conclude that men are preoccupied by solving problems and fixing things.

The feminist claim that men are only after sex is contradicted by the feminist claim that men seek to control women's sexuality and keep women chaste.
