Maurnice Alexandria Dye Declue
Maurnice Alexandria Dye Declue (born 14 October 1988) is an American girl who attends Hazelwood East High School, St Louis, Missouri.[1][2][3][4]
In March 2024 a video circulated widely on the Internet of a black girl fighting with a white girl. As the video continues the black girl repeatedly bashes the white girl's head on the ground. Various media reports identify the black girl as Declue. The white girl has been identified by her first name only, Kailee. Media reports further state that the fight occurred at the intersection of Norgate Drive and Claudine Drive in suburban St Louis, Missouri. Following the fight the black girl leaves the white girl on the ground and later steps over her. The black girl has been arrested and is reportedly in custody.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]
Very quickly reports circulated that Kailee had died. Police in St Louis later stated that this is not the case and that she is in hospital in a critical condition.[15][16]
Declue had previously been in the Volleyball team roster but was removed around 11 March 2024.[17][18]
The surname Declue appears frequently in the area of Hazelwood East High School with at least one staff member having this surname.[19][20]
The Attorney-General of Missouri has stated that he wants the attacker charged as an adult.[21][22]
