Kaylee Gain is an American girl who attends Hazelwood East High School, St Louis, Missouri. Early media reports erroneously spelt her first name as Kailee.
In March 2024 a video circulated widely on the Internet of Kaylee Gain and another girl facing one another. The other girl was widely reported to be Maurnice Declue and this was confirmed by Declue's family on 28 March 2024.
The remainder of this article is written based on the identification of Declue.
Some sources have claimed they were squaring up to fight. Declue, however, is significantly larger and heavier than Kaylee Gain and it is possible that she was trying to walk around Declue to leave the area. A fight ensues which results in Kaylee Gain falling to the ground. As the video continues Declue allegedly repeatedly bashes Kaylee Gain's head on the ground.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]
Media reports state that the fight occurred at the intersection of Norgate Drive and Claudine Drive in suburban St Louis, Missouri. Following the fight Declue leaves Kaylee Gain on the ground. Kaylee Gain is later seen convulsing on the ground before Declue steps over her. Kaylee Gain did not receive immediate attention from anyone in the area despite the obvious severity of her injuries.[12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22]
