Janet Garcia is an American woman living in Washington state. Garcia is accused of violently murdering her four year old son, Ariel Garcia, dumping his body next to a freeway and attempting to flee the area.[1]

Garcia is known to be a use of hard drugs. Garcia's mother had applied for and been granted guardianship over Ariel Garcia on the basis of her daughter's growing drug use and that she was known to be violent and unpredictable. Ariel Garcia died before authorities could remove him and take him to his grandmother.[2]
