In 2014 Jordan was convicted of the 2010 manslaughter of her son, Jude Mirra. Jude Mirra suffered from autism and in February 2010 Jordan force fed him pills resulting in his death. In 2020 her conviction was overturned on technical grounds. After this she was still held on bail but permitted to remain in home detention.
