Angelo Farina is an Italian man who was married to Miriam Visintin for over 34 years.[1][2]

On 24 December 1991 Visintin was involved in a single-vehicle accident in which she lost control of her car on icy roads and hit a pole. Visintin suffered an inoperable brain injury and remained in a coma for the next 33 years. Visintin died on 10 May 2023.[3][4]

Angelo Farina has stated that he visited his wife every day while she was in a coma except when he was prevented from doing so by the COVID-19 pandemic.[5][6]
