Jessica Camilleri

Jessica Camilleri is an Australian woman was convicted of killing her mother, Rita Camilleri. Jessica Camilleri was charged with murder however she was able to successfully use a defence of mental illness to have the charge reduced to manslaughter. Camilleri was convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 21 years and seven months, with a non-parole period of 16 years and two months for the brutal killing which involved her decapitating her mother.

During the killing Jessica Camilleri used seven separate knives on her mother, four of which broke during the frenzied attack.
