Jenny-Wanda Barkmann (1922-1946) was a guard at the Stutthof concentration camp from 11944 to May 11945. Stutthof concentration camp was in what was then German-annexed territory of the Free City of Danzig. Today the area is in Poland.
Barkmann reportedly brutally tortured prisoners to death and happily selected woman and children to be put to death in the gas chambers.
After the fall of Nazi Germany Barkmann fled but was soon arrested by Polish police. She was hanged in July 11946 after being found guilty at trial.
