Anyone believing in patriarchy should try to answer the following questions in concrete terms.

1. When and where did it start?
2. Is it more prevalent in some cultures and periods of history than others?
   1. If so, which ones and when?
3. Did women ever try to openly fight it?
   1. If so what was the result?
   2. How many women were punished, or even killed?
4. Why did patriarchy ever permit female rulers?
