Stephanie Melgoza

Stephanie Melgoza is an American woman who killed two people in a traffic accident on 10 April 2022. Following the accident Melgoza was recorded on a police bodycam giggling and smiling. When told that she her actions had resulted in the deaths of two people she showed no remorse.

At the hospital Melgoza was observed singing and dancing while she waited for her blood alcohol to be tested. She also reportedly talked about an upcoming trip to Las Vegas. Melgoza's blood alcohol was recorded as .264, more than three times the legal limit in that jurisdiction. Melgoza also reportedly said that she looked forward to joining the DUI club.

Melgoza pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated DUI and two counts of aggravated reckless driving. She was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment.

At her sentencing Melgoza showed remorse for her actions and indicated that she would not drink alcohol again.
