Two women per week

Recently in Australia it has become fashionable to claim that two women die per week at the hands of their partners. This, it is claimed, is a doubling of the rate of a few years ago. This figure is only achieved by taking a sample during an unusually high period. It is at best ignorant and at worst intellectual dishonest.
