Giving birth and raising children is no longer a significant contributor to the earnings gap. Many women are having no children at all.

Many women who do spend only a few weeks out of work while giving birth, and even then are on paid maternity leave.

Energy Australia

Energy Australia raised the pay of 350 women and 80 men as a result of a gender pay gap review.

It's also worth noting that the "gender pay gap" is often small. In the case of Energy Australia it was 2%.

That *still* doesn't prove discrimination however.
