The Myth of Male Power is a 1993 book by Dr. Warren Farrell. It is frequently hailed as a foundational work of the men's rights movement. The book critiques the flaws of feminism and patriarchy theory. It explains the various manners in which men are held back in society. It particularly focuses on male disposability, the expectation for men to make sacrifices, and the notion that men must be "success objects" so that women can enjoy unearned status, wealth, and power from men.
