Big Tech
Big Tech refers to the largest tech companies in the world who, at the present time, collectively hold significant power through the heavily reliance that the world community is placing on services that they provide. While Big Tech includes behemoths like Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Apple, Meta (Facebook) and Microsoft it can also include other tech companies of significant size or influence such as Netflix, Oracle, IBM and Twitter.
A subset of Big Tech, Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google, are sometimes referred to as the FAANGS.
Big Tech is analogous to older concepts like Big Pharm and Big Oil.
The extensive use of Big Tech centralises the control of information in the modern world and moves away from the decentralised model prevalent on the Internet from around 1995 to 2015.
Big Tech is potentially a threat to men's rights and anti-feminism as large tech companies have been influenced by woke ideology. A good example being the response to James Damore by Google.
