International Conference on Men's Issues
International Conference on Men's Issues (ICMI) are a series of conferences held around the world to discuss the issues men and boys face. The inaugural conference was in 2014, and since 2016 the conferences have been held annually. To date all ICMI conferences have been held in the United States, United Kingdom or Australia but other countries may hold conferences in the future.
ICMI 2014
ICMI 2014 was the inaugural ICMI conference. The conference was originally scheduled to be at the DoubleTree Hilton in Detroit but the hotel added additional conditions to the contract following threats of violence against staff, guests and the hotel itself.[1][2]
Ultimately the conference did not proceed at the Hilton and an alternative venue was arranged. The conference was subsequently held at the Veterans Affairs Wars (VAW) hall in Detroit 26-28 June.
