Pickup artists are part of a movement that seeks to have regular sex with a wide variety of women.

While the terms pickup artist and PUA were originally pejorative they are not embraced by the community.

China has recently moved to introduce new anti-PUA laws to counter "non-violent acts including brainwashing, manipulation of women, and instigation of female suicide."
