Amelia Giordano is a music teacher as Carpenter Elementary in Wyoming. Giordano has been arraigned on one count of abandoning or endangering a child.
The child, Paul Pine, was struggling with reading. He reported being singled out by teachers as a result of his difficulties. He told his mother that he was considering taking his own life and she informed the school.
On January 9, 2023 Giordano allowed Paul Pine to go to the bathroom on his own. After being absent from the classroom for 17 minutes she and another adult peak in to the bathroom. The principal then entered the bathroom, found Paul hanging, took him down and commenced CPR. Paul Pine died in hospital three days later.[1]
