Usha Akella is an Indian-American feminist poet. Akella moved from India to the United Stated in 1993 and has subsequently published several books of poetry.[1][2]
In 2000 Akella published her first book of poetry, ...Kali Dances, So Do I.... As of 2023 her most recent book is entitled I Will Not Bear You Sons.[3][4]

As of January 2023 Akella apparently has no children.
