Audrey Elizabeth Hale

Audrey Elizabeth Hale was an American trans man who killed several people during a school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee on 27 March 2023. Hale was born female but identified as male. Despite this Hale apparently continued to use the name Audrey which is normally considered to be a female name. Hale was 28 at the time of the attack.

Six people, including three children, are dead as a result of the attack at the Covenant Presbyterian Church School.The school curriculum includes Christian theology as well as secular subjects.

Hale was a former student at the school and was shot dead by police inside the school building.

Evidence was found at Hale's residence that the attack was premeditated and that an alternative site had been considered but rejected due to greater security.
