Usha Akella is an Indian-American feminist poet. Akella moved from India to the United Stated in 1993 and subsequently published two books of poetry.^[1]^[2]

In 2000 Akella published her first book of poetry, ...Kali Dances, So Do I.... Her second book

In 2021 Akella published her second book of poetry, I Will Not Bear You Sons.^[3]^[4]
