On February 29, 2020 Melissa Oates struck and killed her boyfriend Jari Wise with a car on Wilmot Road, Huonville, Tasmania, Australia. She was reportedly driving at 110km. It is believed he died instantly. Oates just kept on driving.[1][2]
Oates was charged with four breaches of a police family violence order and was bailed to appear on March 17, 2020.[3][4]
