As of May 2024 Brad Rix is a serving police officer in the Queensland Police Service (QPS). As of 2017 Mr Rix held the rank of Senior Sergeant.[1][2]
Mr Rix has been featured in The Guardian in relation to posts he has made on social media.[3][4]
During early 2024 Mr Rix made a humorous post on instagram in the lead up to Mother's Day (below). QPS received several complaints in relation to this post. As of 26 May 2024 the matter is reportedly still under investigation while The Guardian saw fit to report the matter internationally.
“gentlemen don’t forget to remind the special lady in your life to make sure she gets all her housework and chores done on Saturday so she can enjoy mother’s day on Sunday” [5][6]
