Senior Constable David Masters was attempting to deploy road spikes to stop the stolen vehicle when it's alleged that Wallis drove the vehicle in to S/Con Masters, killing him.[1] [2] [3] [4]

Wallis subsequently surrendered to police at Cabolture police station through the intersession of a solicitor.[5]

Wallis was charged with murder, arson and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.[6]

It is alleged that Kari O'Brien, then 24, was a passenger in the vehicle at the time. O'Brien has also been charged with murder.[7]
