After decades of the role of fathers being denigrated and marginalised, the evidence today clearly shows that fathers have an important role to play in the upbringing of children. Fathers tends to be more spontaneous in activities that they choose to do with children and tend to allow children to engage in somewhat more risky activities than mothers.
